A Fashionable Event for a Cause

Lindeman Weddings & Events hosted a Sex and The City 2 Premiere Party at our restaurant last Thursday, May 27, to raise money and awareness for charity and human trafficking. Through raffle ticket sales and a silent auction of a gorgeous necklace worn by Carrie Bradshaw in the SATC2 film, just under $3,000 was raised to donate to Eastside Women of Purpose to aid in the fight against human trafficking. Raffle items and giveaways included an overnight stay at The Westin Bellevue, a pair of Manolo Blahniks donated by Lindeman Weddings & Events, a portrait session with seattle wedding and portrait photographer Kristen Honeycutt, a membership to David Barton Gym, a parlor membership to Julep Nail Parlor, a purse from Betsey Johnson, and much more!

Eastside Women of Purpose was there promoting their “Freedom Stones”.  As a part of what the charity does, they keep girls out of brothels in Thailand by employing them to make fabulous pieces of jewelry.  Many of the pieces were for sale at the event for guests to purchase.

After the party at Pearl Bar and Dining, there was a private showing of Sex and the City 2 at Lincoln Square Cinemas and everyone received a swag bag that was filled with donations. Guests went home with four custom Sex and The City fragrances from Jo Malone at Nordstrom, nail polishes from Julep Nail Parlor’s Sex and The City Spring line, complementary bowling pass & shoe rental at Lucky Strike Lanes, a spa treatment at Truce Spa in The Westin Bellevue, a complimentary haircut from Seven Salon, Sky Vodka SATC2 tank top, a three day pass and personal training session at David Barton Gym, a cup cake from Sugar Rush Bakery, and more!

See for yourself – fashion, friends, a great cause and happening atmosphere! The party was a beautiful success.
