There’s a great sense of satisfaction we draw from helping our community, and one of the most moving fundraisers to which we’re honored to contribute is Camp Korey, through the Washington Wines Festival. Pearl will return for its second year to participate in the event’s July 9 winemaker dinner, part of a larger fund raising weekend July 9 to 11. Our restaurant’s creations will be paired with the acclaimed wines of DeLille Cellars, Reynvaan, Sparkman Cellars and Va Piano.
The first night of the Festival—like in previous years—is a huge opener with a reception, winemaker dinner, live auction, dancing and more. The picturesque setting at Carnation Farm makes for a perfect party among a trout pond, gazebo and beautifully set tent on an expansive field—ideal to enjoy the cuisine, wine and beautiful sunset.
Camp Korey is a medically supervised residential camp for children suffering from serious and life threatening illnesses at no cost to them. Camp Korey was founded by Tim Rose, father of the late Korey Rose who passed away in 2004 at the age of 18 after battling bone cancer. Camp Korey is part of Paul Newman’s Association of Hole in the Wall Camps.
Not only will Camp Korey benefit from the Washington Wine Festival; the event also raises awareness for the Washington Wine Education Foundation.
We hope to see you there Friday!
